Spot switching conversations while they are fresh

Some posts provide unusually useful market context: someone asking what else is available, describing a current problem, or announcing a switch. This playbook watches for that language and evaluates authors alongside engagers.

The agent runs this playbook conversationally — it searches, shows samples, and starts recurring watches only when you confirm.

The steps

  1. 1

Build a keyword watch around switching language

Create a keyword watch with a boolean query — up to six keywords with AND/OR/NOT, e.g. “CRM AND (alternative OR switching OR migrating) NOT hiring”. Start narrower than feels natural: one clear watch beats three vague ones.

  2. 2

Add an AI filter in plain language

Boolean catches the words; the AI filter catches the meaning. Add a sentence like “keep only posts where the author is frustrated with a tool they currently use — not vendors promoting alternatives.” It runs on every matching post before anyone reaches your list.

  3. 3

    Evaluate authors as people

The author of “anyone else struggling with this?” provides richer context than a reaction alone. Authors from keyword watches show up in People with a match decision and the original post.

  4. 4

Review strong matches while the context is current

Turn on strong-match alerts if timing matters. Decide whether the right next step is simply learning from the thread, joining it helpfully, or using the optional source-grounded draft.

Why it works

Public switching language gives you a timely view of the problems and alternatives the market is discussing. Repeated patterns can sharpen positioning, research, and seller attention without assuming a post equals an active buying process.
