Learn who gathers around your competitors
A competitor’s posts bring together a visible audience around your category. This playbook watches that public room and shows which people match your ideal-customer profile, without pretending that every reaction is buying intent.
Or skip the setup and just ask
“Who engages with Acme’s posts? Their founder posts a lot too.”
The agent runs this playbook conversationally — it searches, shows samples, and starts recurring watches only when you confirm.

The steps
- 1
Watch the company page and the most relevant leader
Paste the competitor’s company-page URL into Discover — the type is auto-detected. Preview the posts, then add the company and a relevant leader as separate watches when both sources fit.
- 2
Let the first sync land
Within the first day you’ll see recent posts, the people who engaged, and match decisions filling in row by row. The detail page keeps the whole story visible: posts found → people identified → evaluated → matches.
- 3
Read the context, not just the match
Each person keeps the source activity. A reaction shows attention; a detailed comment reveals more. Use the evidence and fit reasoning together when deciding where your attention belongs.
- 4
Choose how you want to be notified
In Ideal customer → Notifications, enable instant alerts for strong matches or keep a quieter daily summary.
- 5
Use the evidence when it helps
Review the strongest matches in People. If a follow-up is appropriate, the optional draft can reference the exact post rather than inventing generic personalization.
Why it works
Competitor engagement is observable, timely evidence of attention to your category. It is not the same as purchase intent, but it is more useful than a static list when you can see the person, source, and context together.
Evaluating each person against your profile helps separate relevant stakeholders from peers, vendors, students, and other audience members before you spend time reviewing them.
